For decades, the Head Of The Charles has been considered the unofficial reunion event for schools, clubs and groups from around the world. Reunion Village at Head Of The Charles is a convenient easy-to-find centralized gathering spot for people to meet with friends and relatives during Regatta weekend. Located by the Weeks Footbridge, on the "Boston side" of the river, 'The Village' has one of the best vistas to watch the race events.
Many schools and organizations will be hosting groups at 'The Village,' making it easy for friends and family to find one another along three-mile course. Sumptuous seafood and frothy drinks will be served by Great Bay restaurant, established by local culinary legends Christopher Myers, Esti Parson, and Michael Schlow of Radius and Via Matta fame. Reunion Village is the only public place alcohol can be consumed on the riverbanks of the Charles.
Reunion Village is open to the public—there’s no need to be affiliated with a host group. General admission is $5 for the entire weekend, which can be purchased on-site at the Reunion Village gate. Patrons will get a wristband secured to their wrist; accordingly, admission to 'The Village' is not transferable from one person to another. People can roam freely in and out of Reunion Village at anytime during the Regatta—all they need to do is show their fastened wristband upon reentry.
If you have a group that’s getting together at Head Of The Charles this year—either as a reunion, or simply a gathering of friends and colleagues—Reunion Village is the place to go!
